First of all, what the heck do people mean when they say "work your core". What does that mean exactly? The "core" is your center of strength, which includes the abdominal muscles, the oblique muscles, the lower back region and the butt. The beauty of core exercises include the following:
- They improve your BALANCE!
- They don't require SPECIAL equipment, though there are various items that you can use to compliment your non-equpment core routine.
- They help you preform other physical activities with much more EASE and create an strong center for injury prevention.
- They help you reach your fitness goals quicker.
- They make your abs and back look GREAT!
For this post, I am including some different videos of different levels for you watch through once and then implement the second time you watch them. I chose to use "triathlon" training videos, as it covers exercises for all types of athletes and covers the areas evenly and specifically.
