"Hidden Spinach" Smoothie For Picky Eaters?!?!

My son won't eat anything green... NOTHING!  So what's a concerned mother to do?  Well, I hide it!! Specifically in smoothies!  (Shhh... don't tell anyone my secret!)
Now, I contribute part of my ability to do this because I have a SUPER blender called a BLENDTECH that can pulverize just about anything.... (watch this video and others on youtube under "Will It Blend?"!)  

There are other power blenders out there by Vita Mix, Cuisinart and others, but a good heavy duty blender will do the trick.

Here is a recipe for a HEART HEALTHY "HIDDEN" SPINACH SMOOTHIE:
1.5 CUPS LOWFAT VANILLA OR PLAIN YOGURT (add a tsp of vanilla if using plain)
2-3 BIG HANDFULS OF SPINACH
1 BANANA
1.5 - 2.5  CUPS OF FROZEN RASPERRIES, STRAWBERRIES OR BLUEBERRIES (OR ANY COMBINATION OF THOSE)
3 TSP OF BARLEAN'S FISH OIL (not detectable at all, yet adds important omega 3 fatty acids to your diet, which keep your heart and brain healthy)
1/2-1.5 CUPS ORANGE or TANGERINE JUICE
ICE IF DESIRED

PUT ALL INGREDIENTS INTO BLENDER AND BLEND!!!
MAKES ABOUT 2-3 SMOOTHIES... YOU CAN PLAY AROUND WITH THE AMOUNTS

NOTE:  THE BLUEBERRIES ARE THE BEST AT HIDING THE GREEN COLOR FROM THE SMOOTHIE... ALL 3 BERRIES HIDE THE TASTE, BUT THE BLUE OF THE BLUEBERRIES SEEMS TO HIDE THE GREEN COLOR THE BEST!!

OTHER INGREDIENTS TO ADD TO HIDE THE TASTE AND TO ADD NUTRITION:
  • FROZEN MANGO CHUNKS
  • HONEY
  • FROZEN PINEAPPLE (MAKES IT A LITTLE TO  MUCH OF A FIBROUS TEXTURE FOR ME)
  • FRESH OR FROZEN PEACHES
  • CRANBERRY JUICE
