UGH! BACK FAT.... YES... You CAN Work It Off!!!

After I had my 3rd child, the biggest change in my body was that, for the first time, I had BACK FAT!  Now, I know that you cannot spot reduce, but you can blast an area, couple it with a good cardio regime ( ie:  Spinning, running, swimming, Zumba, etc.) and really create change.  So, I did some exercises that really helped me get results... I am posting them today:
  • First, let's target your upper back and shoulders with Rear Lateral Raises:
    • Grab dumbells (or water bottles, laundry detergent bottles, etc. and hinge over from your hips until your torso is parallel to the floor.  Let your arms, with the weights in them, hang straight down from your shoulders  with palms facing each other.  Now, w/out moving your torso, raise the arms straight out to the side until they are in line with your body.    Hold for a few seconds and then slowly lower the arms back to your starting position.

  •  Hinged Over Rows for the middle and upper portions of your back (lats)..once again, you can use dumbells or bottles filled with liquid.....
  •
  • Y-T-W-L This exercise is best on a stability ball, but can be done on a bench or without weights on the floor:

  • Single arm row (done on bench or a stable chair or low table in your home)
  • Plank rows with an optional tricep kickback (you might as well get that tricep kickback in and tone those triceps while you are at it!!):
Now that you have worked your back, search abnominal exercises on my blog and work the front side of your body!   AND.... DON'T FORGET TO GET IN YOUR CARDIO!!  JOIN ME FOR SPINNINGGGG!!!  CLICK ON MY SCHEDULE OF CLASSES AND COME JOIN ME!!
