Okay, It's Not My Super Special Secret Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe, But It's A Lower Fat Version!! YUM!

Don't forget to indulge yourself in a treat... WISELY!   Here is a recipe for reduced fat chocolate chip cookies... it's my secret recipe modified to be a bit better for you...  (so essentially, my secret recipe is still a secret!)

Chocolate Chip Cookies..... Made with real butter, sugar and eggs.... no applesauce, protein powders or artificial sugars here. Just good, (I use organic for each ingredient, but that is optional), from scratch, delicious chocolate chip cookies!!!

1 stick of salted butter, softened
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup turbinado (also known as raw) sugar (the texture makes the cookies crunchier)
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp sea salt (this texture makes it crunchier)
1 3/4 - 2 cups flour
1 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
Sea salt flakes (optional)
PREHEAT OVEN TO 375...
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until creamy. Stir in eggs and vanilla, beat well until well incorporated. In a separate container, add the baking soda, sea salt and 1and3/4 c. of the flour, lightly fluff up and then add to the butter mixture... beat just until the ingredients are incorporated... just until the dough comes together, being very careful not to overmix.  Add the extra 1/2 c. of flour only if necessary.  THEN....add in the chocolate chips!!   READY TO SCOOP!!  They should cook for approximately 10-12 minutes or more, depending on their size.  Do not over bake!!  Bake just unitl the edges are golden brown and the middle is just barely firm.
ENJOY!!
